Scatter Sunshine!

Never could there have been a more perfect surprise than I had this morning. On this cold, dreary, snowy April day, when we are beyond ready for the Spring that just doesn’t seem to come – this happened!

In our world of chaos, heartache, trials and tribulations where the winter just won’t seem to leave– today, someone scattered sunshine in my life. And I am forever grateful.

Though I think know who it was that brought me this joy, I also know the value of an anonymous gift. If you have ever been the recipient of a secret gift, you know too, how wonderful it is to consider all of the many people in your life that it might have been.

The people you love and those who love you. Those who love and serve without being asked, those who think beyond themselves and freely reach out to others with a smile, a kindness and of course flowers! May we all find ways to ‘be the light’ and scatter sunshine.

Scatter Sunshine Lanta Wilson Smith

In a world where sorrow ever will be known,

Where are found the needy and the sad and lone,

How much joy and comfort you can all bestow,

If you scatter sunshine ev’rywhere you go.

Scatter sunshine all along your way.

Cheer and bless and brighten ev’ry passing day.

Scatter sunshine all along your way.

Cheer and bless and brighten ev’ry passing day.

Slightest actions often meet the sorest needs,

For the world wants daily little kindly deeds.

Oh, what care and sorrow you may help remove,

With your songs and courage, sympathy and love.
